Adding a FavIcon on Blogger Blog – How To

It is not difficult to add a FavIcon to your Blogger.com Blog.  Lately the procedure to add a favicon has changed, and some deployments have stopped working.  FavIconBlog has the latest information to help you.

I still see many Blogger.com sites without a custom FavIcon.  This is absolutely not necessary.  FavIconBlog has information and tools to make and deploy a FavIcon to your website regardless of the platform.

Blogger.com is one of the largest groupings of Blogs on the internet.  This is because Google has done an amazing job at making it easy to create and maintain a blog on this platform.  Lots of information is available to make the best of your Blogger Blog.

Here I will put in a shameless plug for a Blog that I am a partner.  TechPlusTips.com is a site that is running on the Blogger Platform.  My friend Andrew is the Master of Blogger.  He is able to implement some really cool templates.  Stop by TechPlusTips for some cool ways to enhance your Blogger Blog.

Anyways, lately Blogger.com has implemented some changes to their default template and have inserted code that will use their Blogger FavIcon.  Some people have tried to implement their own custom favicon with no success.  Success is at hand.  My post:

How To Add A Custom FavIcon To Your Blog at Blogspot.com

has the most current information that will lead you to success.  A fellow blogger http://chinatraditionshop.blogspot.com/   has had success implementing a custom Favicon on his site by following my instructions.  He was not sure that it was working, but I verified for him that his favicon was visible.  Probably just a case of needing to clear the browser cache.

So my friends, keep striving to get the word out on the FavIcon.  There are sooooo many sites out there that do not have one yet.  Tell your friends about this site and point them to my introduction video on YouTube:  FavIcon – An Introduction
