Followed your directions but blogger would not accept the changes to the code. Tried it several times. Also, Google now puts the "httpS":

Many Thanks for the great post.
But it works only in Firefox not in IE8, Chrome..
Any fix for that?

I found your icon works for me, so I think you did everything right. Just clear your browser cache and try again.

Hi,Loren! Thanks for the post! But I found that it still did NOT work for me, either for my site: http://chinatraditionshop.blogspot.com/
or your testing site: http://lorensblog-loren.blogspot.com/
The Orange B is only replaced by the icon of Googlesites.
BTW, I follow the old way by setting the img name as ‘favicon.ico’.
What do you think the problem might be?
