FTP (File Transfer Protocol) is the tool used to move files from your local computer to a remote computer, in this case the web server that hosts your blog or website.
After you have created your favicon.ico file you will need to move the file. I have found Filezilla to be a good FTP program. It is free, and easy to use.
You can download it at: http://filezilla-project.org/
I was a bit concerned about having people know how to use the Filezilla FTP program, but I found an outstanding Tutorial on YouTube by a user called Firmam49. I highly recommend that you take a look at his tutorial after you have downloaded and installed Filezilla.
I hope you have found this short Tutorial on FTP to be useful. Stop by Firmam49′s YouTube page and give him some feedback.
If you have any further questions on how to get your favicon.ico file to your web server let me know.
